Here are some books and websites I found useful in my inquiry journey:
Teaching Inquiry-Based Chemistry (Gallagher-Bolos/Smithenry)
In this book, the authors take you through a year in a senior chem classroom that is set up to do whole-class inquiry. The students work as a community to answer lab questions. Easy to read, infectious, and inspiring (though admittedly a HUGE leap from my current level of inquiry). |

National Center for Case Study Teaching in Science (Website)
Some of the activities here are inquiry-based. They all support constructivist principles, with real-world data and authentic activities. I've mostly used this for biology, but I've seen some interesting chem ideas, too! |
BC Science Teachers' Association (Website)
They have their own resources section, and also link to lots of other useful websites. Not all of the content is inquiry-themed... but it's worth a look! |
Teach BC (BCTF) (website)
This is a provincial sharing resource, for all grades and subject areas. Again, I can't guarantee which resources are inquiry-focused. |
Essential Experiments for Chemistry (Morrison & Scodellaro)
This lab manual is home to many "cookbook-style" activities that I have flipped over the past few years. This is a great place to find new ideas, and a wonderful resource to make sure you understand the procedure you're trying to replicate |
Heath Chemistry: Laboratory Experiments
This lab manual is one I used before Essential Experiments. It has many of the same labs, again in a "cookbook-style" format. |
